Massage Seat Issues in Skoda Kamiq

Having issues with the massage seat in my 2023 Skoda Kamiq with a gasoline engine. The massage setting on my driver's chair isn't working. Can't switch it on, and the car's throwing an error code. My mechanic thinks it's a defective cable or plug connection, and quoted around 95€ for the repair. Wondering if this is a common thing.

Oh man, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue with the massage seat in my previous car, a Volvo XC60. Drove me nuts! In my case, the lumbar support was also acting up intermittently. Have you checked the fuses? It might be something simple.

Interesting. I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. Was the issue with your Volvo also related to a faulty connection, or was it something else entirely?

Yep, the Volvo ended up having a loose connection under the seat. It’s a common problem with automotive seats apparently, especially with all the electrical features these days. If your mechanic already suspects a connection issue and the error memory also points to that, it’s probably the most likely culprit. I would recommend letting them take a look. Better safe than sorry, especially with electrical stuff.

Took it to the shop and it was a faulty connection as suspected. 95€ later, the massage seat is working again. Thanks for sharing your experience!
