Macan TPMS False Alarms: Common Sensor Glitch?

Thanks for sharing your experience! My Macan's at 142524 KM and had its last service about two months ago. The warnings seem pretty unusual, they pop up regardless of whether I've been driving for a while or just started the car. It's super annoying because I've triple-checked the tire pressures and they're spot on. Sounds like I might be dealing with the same antenna issue you had. I'll probably book it in with the dealer to get those sensors checked out. Did your warranty cover the repair?

Hey again! Yeah, dealing with those unusual TPMS warnings can be super frustrating, right? Unfortunately, in my case, the warranty had already expired when this happened to my Cayenne (I was just over 60,000 km), so I had to pay out of pocket for the repair. That's why I mentioned the 255€ cost earlier. With your Macan being at 142k km, it's definitely showing similar symptoms to what I experienced, those unusual warnings regardless of driving time were exactly what I dealt with too. Since you've had recent service work done, maybe give your dealer a heads-up about this specific issue when you book it in. Could save them some diagnostic time since they might just jump straight to checking those TPMS antennas. One thing I didn't mention before, after they fixed mine, they also recommended regular TPMS system checks during routine maintenance to catch any potential issues early. Might be worth asking about that when you take it in. Keep us posted on what they find!

Thanks so much for all the detailed info! That's really helpful about the maintenance tip too, I'll definitely ask about regular TPMS checks when I take it in. Since my Macan's well past 60,000 km, I'm guessing I'll be paying out of pocket like you did, but at least now I have a rough idea of the cost. I've already called the dealer and booked it in for next Tuesday. I'll probably share an update here once they've checked it out, in case anyone else runs into the same issue with their Porsche. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, it's made me feel a lot more confident about what I'm dealing with!

Hey! I have some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2020 Porsche Cayenne last year. Since you've got a Macan, I can definitely relate as they share similar systems. My car kept showing unusual tire pressure warnings despite perfectly fine tire pressures. After trying the usual reset procedures, I took it to my trusted Porsche workshop. Turned out the TPMS antennas were defective and needed replacement. The fix cost me around 255€, but it solved the problem completely. What's your Macan's mileage and have you noticed if the warnings appear more frequently after driving for a while or is it unusual? This info could help confirm if you're dealing with the same issue.
