Looking for advice on how to fix problems with the rear ventilation flap on a VW Passat (model year 2014)

Hi everyone, I have a small problem with my VW Passat (built in 2014) and a petrol engine. The fan is not working properly and I suspect it's the rear ventilation flap. Do any of you have experience with this problem? How did you get it fixed at the garage and what was your experience? Any help would be great!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my VW Jetta (built in 2012). I'm not an expert, but I at least know a bit about cars. At the garage, it turned out that the servomotor was defective. The repair cost me 400 euros. Maybe you have the same problem. Can you perhaps give a few more details about your car? For example, which exact model variant you drive and whether you have already carried out a fault diagnosis? Then I might be able to help you even better.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. My Passat is the sedan version and the last service was at 94132 km. I haven't done any fault diagnostics yet, so I wanted to ask here first. Hopefully it's not as expensive as yours. Have a nice day!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help where I can. So with the Jetta, I didn't get any airflow from the ventilation either. I then took it to the garage and, as I said, it was the servomotor. If your symptoms are similar, it could be the same problem. It's best to have it checked at the garage. Unfortunately, I can't tell you the costs, as they can vary from garage to garage. But be prepared to pay a slightly higher amount. Hope this helps you! Have a nice day too!

Thank you very much for your support and the detailed answer. The symptoms are pretty similar, so I guess I will have to visit the garage and hopefully it won't be too expensive. Thanks again for the advice! Have a nice day too!
