Issues with 2024 Seat Tarraco Not Starting: Suspected Parking Heater Problem - Seeking Advice and Repair Solutions

Hey folks, I'm battling an odd issue with my 2024 Seat Tarraco (Gas engine). The car just won't fire up. I'm suspecting an issue with the parking heater, but not absolutely sure. Anyone faced a similar issue and found a fix through a repair shop? Would appreciate your stories and advice!

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars, although I wouldn't exactly call myself an expert. Had a similar problem with my 2022 Seat Ateca, she wouldn't start as well. Turned out it was a defective glow plug! Cost me around 560 Euro to get it sorted at the local workshop. They did a fine job - quick and professional. Can you share more details about your Tarraco? Maybe the mileage, last service, etc.? It could help in offering more precise suggestions.

Hey there! Thanks for the glow plug suggestion. My Tarraco has covered approximately 188810 KM and had its last service about six months ago. Everything was in order back then. But now this sudden no-start issue cropped up, and it's kinda frustrating. Anyway, I really appreciate your advice and will definitely have the glow plugs checked. Cheers!

Hey again! With that mileage, the glow plug issue could indeed be a possibility. Just another question - have you noticed any odd indicators on your dashboard, right before this start-up issue began? My Ateca acted similar, had this blinking engine check light queueing me on the bad glow plug. Also, you can try listening closely to your car when you try to crank it, if it has a starting motor sound. If it doesn't, then it could be a battery related issue too. Calling in a pro might be a good idea if you find it hard to identify the problem. It did cost me those 560 Euro, but it was worth the peace of mind knowing my girl was in capable hands. Good luck with your Tarraco!

Those are good points! The dashboard's been clean, no warning lights so far. But now that you mention it, the starting motor sound really isn't there. I guess it's high time I visit a professional. I'm not great with car tech, and this mystery is giving me a bit of a headache. Thanks for the tips, your 560 Euro' worth of experience definitely helped me out. Fingers crossed, hope my Tarraco gets back on track soon. Cheers!
