What's up, Thanks for the useful info! My Arkana was actually built in 2023 and has clocked quite a few kilometers - we're looking at 154278 km so far. It's pretty weird how the sensor issue seems to fluctuate with the weather, never would've thought of that. I'm definitely not an expert, but I can handle some basic car stuff too. So I guess I'll do a proper sweep of the parking sensors, maybe even clean them a bit. If the problem persists, I'll follow your advice and have it checked at the workshop. And yeah, those warning lights? Relieved to hear I'm not the only one finding them annoying. Anyone figured out how to turn them off or we're all in the same boat? Anyway, I'll keep everyone posted with any updates or hopefully, fixes. Cheers, guys!
Heyo! First off, props on the mileage you've racked up on your Arkana! As weird as it sounds, I've noticed that weather conditions sometimes affect sensor functionality, as strange as that might seem. So you're not alone in finding it a little peculiar. Before you head off to a workshop, your idea to clean the sensors is a good starting point - could just be some dirt or grime messing with the system. Use an automotive approved cleaning solution if you can, it worked wonders for me. Just be gentle with the sensors, they can be a bit delicate. As for that warning light, I wish I had a magical solution for you. Unfortunately, it seems we're all in the same boat— can't turn it off without fixing the problem it's alerting you to. It's like having a backseat driver you can't argue with, right? Keep us up to speed on any developments and good luck with the troubleshooting. We're here to help if you need it. Keep at it! Cheers!
Hiya! It's funny how cars seem to have their own weather preferences, huh? But that's an excellent point about the approved cleaning solution. I wouldn't want to make things worse by using something too harsh. I guess my Arkana's sensors are more high maintenance than I thought. Always something new to learn with these machines. And I totally get what you mean by the backseat driver analogy for the warning light. At least they could've made it a bit less annoying, right? But no problem, I'm on it! I'll keep all of you posted on how things progress. Thanks for all your tips and shared experiences, it really helps a lot. Cheers!

When I took my Arcana out of the garage and put it in reverse with automatic gearbox, I got a "be in parking to check" alert, which was displayed for 30 seconds with a key, then nothing, and it came back 2 hours later.
It sounds like your Arkana might be having issues with the transmission control module or the gear selector itself. However, before jumping to conclusions, I would suggest checking the basics first. Ensure that your car is fully in park before switching it off and see if the problem persists. If the issue continues, it would be best to have a professional mechanic inspect your vehicle as this could potentially be a safety issue. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions or concerns?

It's good to hear that the sensor is working now. Sometimes, system bugs can cause such issues. Keep an eye on it and if the problem reoccurs, don't hesitate to take it back to the garage for further examination. Remember, safety is paramount. Please keep us updated on the situation. Hey there, You know, I actually ran into a very similar issue with my 2021 Renault Megane. I'd place my car expertise somewhere around some experience - enough to diagnose basic issues and get my hands a little dirty, but definitely not a mechanic. The sensors on my Megane started failing and kept showing a malfunction alert on the dashboard just like your Arkana. I took it to my local trusty workshop, where they managed to pinpoint the problem to a defective parking aid sensor. The solution was to have it replaced with a new one. Got it fixed for approximately 265 euro. Bit pricey, but definitely worth it to get rid of that annoying warning light! Anyways, I noticed the issue was less frequent when the weather got warmer. You tried testing this maybe? Also, I think it'd be useful to know the exact build date of your Arkana and how many miles it's got on it. This could help us figure out if it's a common problem amongst Arkana's of a certain age or mileage. Hope this helps and keep us posted! Cheers!
