Hybrid Golf's Poor Performance Points to Injector Troubles

My hybrid Golf (2015, 43301km) has become really sluggish lately. The engine struggles to start, burns through gasoline much faster than usual, and keeps stalling when idle. Performance is definitely not what it used to be. A previous repair shop mentioned possible issues with injection nozzles, but I had a bad experience there and would rather not go back. Has anyone dealt with similar symptoms? Particularly interested in hearing about repair experiences and whether injector issues were the actual cause.

After reading the helpful feedback, I finally took my Golf to a new mechanic last week. The diagnosis confirmed faulty injectors, exactly what everyone suggested. The repair bill came to 480€, which included a thorough fuel system cleaning and replacement of two badly clogged injectors. The difference in vehicle performance is remarkable. The engine fires up instantly, idles smoothly, and the sluggish acceleration is completely gone. My gasoline consumption has dropped back to normal levels too. The mechanic showed me the old injectors, they were heavily coated with carbon deposits. It has been a week since the repair and no issues have returned. Really glad I got this sorted before it could cause more serious engine problems. Will definitely be more proactive with fuel system maintenance going forward.
