Fresh air blower problems with Opel Vivaro model year 2021 - exchange of experiences and suggested solutions

Hey guys, I have a small problem with my Opel Vivaro (year of manufacture 2021) and its gasoline engine. Recently, the fan has started to go haywire. I suspect it's the fresh air fan. Has anyone ever had the same problem and can help me? How did you get it solved in the workshop and what experiences have you had? Any help is welcome!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Opel Movano (built in 2019). My experience with cars is rather limited, but I can say that the blower motor in my car was also defective. They replaced the motor at my garage and it cost around 365 euros. But to give you more precise information about which parts could possibly be affected in your case, it would be good to know exactly which model you have and how many kilometers your car has already driven. Hope this helps you!

Hello, thank you for your experience! As already mentioned, I have the Opel Vivaro. My speedometer is currently at 144909 kilometers, and the last service was recently. Do you think it could also be the blower motor? The price of 365.0 euros doesn't sound too bad when you consider how important good ventilation is. Thanks for your help!

Hi, of course, no problem! Given the mileage, it could well be the blower motor, although it's always difficult to say without an exact diagnosis. I think it would make sense to go to a garage and have it checked thoroughly. The cost of my Movano was for replacing the engine, including labor. As different models may have different components and costs, it's impossible to say exactly. Nevertheless, I hope that your problem will be solved for about the same amount. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for the advice. I'll call my garage first thing Monday morning and hope they can get the Vivaro on the lift quickly. Maybe they'll be lucky and nobody has an appointment before me. I've already thought about having the blower motor checked and possibly replaced, and I'd be prepared to pay the costs as long as they're reasonable. Keep your fingers crossed that it won't be more expensive! But thanks again for your help, you've really helped me out. Have a good trip and see you then!
