F Pace Air Suspension Failure: Drop and Lean Issue

Thanks for sharing your experience. My F Pace has 77795 KM and just had its annual service last month. After testing the system multiple times, I can confirm there is no compressor noise at all when starting the car. The suspension pump seems completely unresponsive. The ride height suddenly dropped while driving without any warning signs before the malfunction. Just checked underneath and noticed some wetness around one of the rear air struts which could indicate air leaks. The unusual thing is that the suspension system doesnt even attempt to compensate for the uneven ride height anymore.

Thanks for those additional details. Unlike my F Type case where it was just a loose connector, your symptoms point more strongly toward actual component issues, especially with the complete lack of compressor response and visible moisture around the air struts. The fact your suspension pump shows no signs of life combined with the wetness around the rear air struts suggests you might be dealing with two related issues: 1. The air leaks from the strut likely caused the system to overwork 2. This extended strain probably led to the suspension pump malfunction When my system had the connector issue, the pump would at least try to engage. Your complete silence from the compressor area is concerning. The original suspicion about the compressor might be correct, but the leaking strut needs attention too. To repair this properly, the shop will likely need to: Replace the faulty air struts, Test and likely replace the suspension pump, Perform a full system diagnostic, Reset and calibrate the ride height sensors Based on my experience with similar repairs, you should expect a more substantial repair cost than my simple connector fix. The combination of parts and labor could range from 800€ to 1500€ depending on exactly what needs replacement. Would be good to get this addressed soon since driving with compromised air struts can lead to additional suspension component wear.

Thanks for the insights. Just wanted to update that I took the car to the dealer today. The diagnostic confirmed both a compressor failure and leaking rear air struts. The technician showed me where the air suspension components had deteriorated. The constant air leaks apparently overwhelmed the compressor, causing it to burn out while trying to maintain proper ride height. Total repair estimate is 1350€ including: New compressor unit, Replacement rear air struts, System diagnostic and calibration, Labor costs They can get the parts within 2 days and complete repairs in about 6 hours. Going ahead with the work since I want to restore proper ride height and prevent any additional suspension damage. Will post another update once everything is fixed to share how the repair went in case others run into similar air suspension malfunctions. Thanks again for helping me understand what to expect with this issue.

I had a similar issue with my 2020 F Type. As someone with some experience working on cars, I initially thought it was the air struts compressor too, but it turned out to be much simpler. The load leveling system was showing error messages and the ride height was completely off. After taking it to the workshop, they found a loose connector near the height sensors. The cable connection had worked itself loose over time, causing the malfunction in the suspension system readings. The fix was surprisingly straightforward, they cleaned the connector, reseated it properly, and secured it better. Total cost was 95€ for diagnostics and repair. The whole thing took about an hour and the suspension has been working perfectly since then. Before suggesting more specific solutions, it would help to know: Are you hearing any unusual noises from the compressor? Does the suspension attempt to adjust at all when starting the car? How long has this issue been occurring? Have you noticed any gradual decline or did it happen suddenly? This could be anything from a simple electrical connection issue like mine to a more serious problem with the air struts themselves, so these details would help narrow it down.
