Hi, thanks for the tip, really helpful! I hadn't thought about the glow plugs before. Do you remember how much it cost you at the garage? And have you had any more problems since then, or did changing the glow plugs fix everything? Thank you!

Hello, I'm glad I could help! After I took my Fluence to the garage, the problem with the fault in the engine control unit was actually rectified. It really was the glow plugs. It cost me €560 to replace the defective or worn glow plugs. Since then, the engine has been running smoothly again without any problems and the lights no longer flicker. So it was definitely the right decision to have it fixed. So, check it out for your Fluence. Hopefully you'll have the same luck as me! Best regards!

Hi, great, that sounds quite encouraging. I'm going to visit a mechanic this week and have it checked to see if it's also my glow plugs. Your tips and experiences have helped me a lot and I hope that I will also be so lucky with my Fluence. Thanks again and best regards!

Hi, I actually had a similar problem with my 2009 Renault Mégane. It turned out that the problems were due to faulty or worn glow plugs. I experienced similar symptoms to yours when starting and my lights were also dark. The issue was serious as my car was no longer starting reliably. As a result, I couldn't rely on it when I needed to. The last time at the garage, all four glow plugs were replaced and the car was then brought back to top condition. So it could very well be that you also have defective or worn glow plugs in your car. I would recommend that you have this checked at a garage. Good luck!
