Hey there! Your situation with the Duster sounds really similar to what I'm going through with my Sandero. It's a relief to know it's not a critical issue, but something that needs addressing regardless. If you don't mind sharing, do you remember how much that whole fix cost you? And have you had any similar problems crop up since the repair? Definitely don't want to get stranded on my way to work one of these mornings. Cheers!

Hi again! Yeah, I totally understand that nightmare of possibly getting stranded en route to work. So, to answer your questions: the slapping-on of the mechanic's gloves, the deep dive into the engine, and the whole fiddly reconnection job knocked me back about 365€. I'll tell you what, though, it's money well-spent considering the peace of mind it's brought me. And on the question of recurring issues... not a blip or a bleep since getting the sensor sorted. My Duster's been running smooth and the dashboard is now happily free of any warning lights. It's all been tickety-boo, my. So, get that Sandero of yours booked in and it should be back to its best in no time. Safe travels!

Hey, thanks a ton for your answers! You've certainly put my mind at ease. An investment of 365€ for a trouble-free ride does sound like money well spent indeed. And it’s great to hear that your Duster has been running smoothly post-repair. I'm going to make a booking with the mechanic as soon as they have a slot available. Thanks again for your help! You've not only provided valuable information, but a fair bit of encouragement too. Hoping my Sandero will be as 'tickety-boo' as your Duster soon. Safe travels to you as well!

Hey! So, funny you should mention that. I've got a 2013 Dacia Duster, Diesel engine. The old girl started behaving a smidge like yours a while back - occasional no-start, unusual cut-outs, an annoying light on my dash. Turned out it was a sensor cable connection issue. I had to take mine to the garage and they dealt with it. It wasn't a walk in the park, but it wasn't the end of the world either. They had to do a thorough diagnostic test, find the defective cable, then properly reconnect it. Said it was quite fiddly, but manageable. It wasn't the most severe issue, from a mechanical perspective. It's a bit like having a cold. Annoying as hell, might cause other issues if left untreated, but not deadly. Treat it sooner than later, though. Wouldn't want it developing into something bigger, yeah? Hope that helps. Even if your local mechanic isn't the best, it's key to get this sorted. Don't want you stranded on the road. All the best!
