Concerns about the Citroen Berlingo: technical faults and helplessness

Hello everyone, I'm worried about my Citroen Berlingo, built in 2016, petrol engine, with a mileage of 161559 km. It is currently experiencing serious problems, ranging from the parking distance control not working, general electrical malfunction, a stored fault, to a warning light in the vehicle's speedometer. My guess is that the radar sensor may be causing problems. My last encounter with a garage was rather unpleasant, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone has had similar experiences? How did you solve the problem and which mechanic did you recommend? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I can well understand your concerns. I once had similar problems with my 2018 Citroen C4. I thought it was something serious, but luckily the problem was a dirty radar sensor. After an inspection in the garage, they simply cleaned the sensor and everything was fine again. No more warning lights and the electronic functions worked perfectly again. The guys in the garage did a great job and it was no big deal. Maybe it's just something similar with your Berlingo. All the best!

Hello, you're welcome! Yes, luckily it wasn't that bad for me. The repair only cost me €45 to clean the sensor. Fortunately, I haven't had any further problems since then. So since the visit to the workshop, the radar sensor has been fixed with no function. Maybe you're lucky and it's nothing worse! Good luck!
