Chrysler 300 Massage Feature Fails: Switch Issue Alert

Just had my 117000 KM service done last month. The error code showing up is M-567 and it happened very suddenly. All other seat functions work perfectly, including heating and position adjustment. There are zero sounds when pressing the massage controls, its completely unresponsive. The seat motor seems fine since the regular adjustments work normally. The massage setting just refuses to activate at all. Starting to think its more than just a switch issue given the complete lack of response from the massage chair system.

Thanks for providing those additional details about your Chrysler 300 massage seat issue. The complete silence when activating controls, combined with error code M-567, actually points more toward a control module failure rather than the connector issue I experienced with my vehicle. The fact that your regular seat motor functions and heating work perfectly helps narrow down the problem. In my case, I had intermittent response before total failure, but your sudden complete loss of massage function suggests a different root cause. Based on my experience with luxury car electrical systems and this particular massage seat setup, I recommend having the control module tested. When mine finally got properly diagnosed, a faulty massage control unit was causing similar symptoms, though with a different error code. The repair cost on my Chrysler was significantly higher than the connector issue, around 450€ for the new control module plus programming. Unfortunately, even with the recent service, this type of electrical failure typically isnt covered under standard maintenance warranties. Before proceeding with module replacement, have your technician verify: The voltage at the massage seat control unit, Signal communication between the switch and module, Whether the module responds to diagnostic commands This should definitively confirm whether its the control module rather than a wiring or switch problem.

Thanks for the input. My local dealer confirmed it is indeed the control module causing the issue. They quoted me 475€ for parts and labor to replace and program the massage setting control unit. Pretty frustrating since I just had the car serviced, but at least all my other automotive seats functions still work normally while I decide what to do. The complete shutdown of the massage chair system without any warning was concerning, but knowing others have dealt with similar control module failures makes me feel better about the diagnosis. Since the car upholstery needs to be partially removed to access everything, I'll probably just have the dealer handle the repair rather than attempting it myself. Appreciate everyone sharing their experiences with switch failure issues and repair costs. Really helped me understand what I'm dealing with. I'll update once I get it fixed in case anyone else runs into this same problem with their massage seat controls.

Having some experience with luxury car electrical issues, I encountered a similar problem with my 2015 Chrysler 200 and its massage seat function. The switch failure symptoms were nearly identical, complete loss of massage function and error codes on the system display. After initial troubleshooting, my workshop diagnosed a loose connection in the wiring harness under the car upholstery. The cable connections had worked themselves loose over time, causing intermittent electrical issues before complete failure. The repair involved accessing the seat wiring and replacing a damaged connector plug. Total cost was 95€ for parts and labor, which included testing the system after repair. This type of electrical issue unfortunately wasnt covered under the extended warranty in my case. To better assist with your specific situation, could you share: The exact error code showing up, Whether the issue happened suddenly or gradually, If other seat functions still work normally, Whether you notice any unusual sounds when pressing the massage controls This info would help determine if youre dealing with the same connector problem or potentially a different issue with your automotive seats.
