Hey, thanks for the quick response. First of all about the car: Just had the full service 24900 km ago, so everything is tip-top. There was no specific event before this problem, it came out of nowhere so to speak. The engine just doesn't feel right any more, and the jerking when accelerating is really unpleasant. But it's good to hear that changing the turbocharger has helped you. I'll take it to the workshop.

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to pass on my experience. Based on my experience with the Passat, I would say that it is quite possible that the boost pressure regulator or the turbocharger is the cause of the problem. It was exactly the same with my Passat: jerking when accelerating, uneven engine running and the check engine light came on. After the turbocharger was replaced, everything was as good as new again. It sounds like your Arteon has similar symptoms to my Passat back then. Have it checked at the garage and tell them to check the turbocharger/charging pressure regulator. Maybe you'll be lucky and it's just a small part that needs replacing and not the whole turbocharger like mine. So I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't have to pay as much as I did. Let me know how it goes!

Hey, thanks so much for your assessment and encouraging words! You've definitely answered some of my questions. I'll bring this up when I visit the garage. Hopefully it's not quite as serious as it was with your Passat. In any case, it's reassuring to hear from someone who has had similar experiences. Have a good trip with your Passat. I'll definitely be in touch to let you know how things turn out!

Hey, I actually had a similar problem with my VW Passat, model year 2017. So I have mediocre experience of cars, I'm just not a professional. At my garage, they said it was the turbocharger. They replaced the thing and lo and behold, problem solved. The whole thing cost me a whopping 1700 euros. But now the engine runs like the first day. But I can help you better if you tell me a bit more about your car. Are there any specific symptoms or events that occurred before the problem?
