Hey thanks for the response! I'm at 123023 KM and just had my service last month. The issue started completely out of the blue while driving on the highway, no weird noises or anything leading up to it. Actually noticed it first when trying to adjust the volume through the steering controls. The warning lights all came on at once, which was pretty freaky. Haven't noticed any connection to turning the wheel specifically, it's just consistently messed up now. Your wiring issue definitely sounds similar to what I'm experiencing. Hopefully it's just as straightforward to fix!

Hey again! Yeah, after hearing those details, I'm even more convinced it's the same wiring issue I dealt with. Especially since it started suddenly while you were driving, that's exactly how mine went too! And the mileage is pretty similar to when mine acted up (I was around 115000 KM). The fact that you first noticed it with the volume control is super telling. In my case, the wire harness in the steering column had worked itself loose over time, and one day it just decided to give up completely. These BMWs have all their steering wheel controls and safety systems connected through the same module, which is why everything goes haywire at once. Quick tip though, when I had this issue, I actually tried disconnecting my battery for about 15 minutes to see if it would reset the system. It didn't fix it, but it did stop some of the warning lights from being so aggressive. Might help you too until you can get it to the shop. Since you just had service done, maybe check if they did anything near the steering column? Sometimes these issues can pop up if something wasn't properly reconnected during maintenance. Either way, shouldn't be a major repair, like I said, mine was mostly labor costs for getting to the wiring. Let me know how it goes when you get it checked out!

Thanks so much for all the detailed info! The battery reset tip is really helpful, I'll definitely try that tonight. It's actually a relief to hear this is likely just a wiring issue and not something more serious with the car's main systems. You're right about checking with the service center too. I just called them and mentioned the recent service, turns out they did some work around the steering column area. They're willing to take a look at it tomorrow since it might be related to their work. The service advisor seemed to know exactly what I was talking about when I described the symptoms, so fingers crossed it's that same wiring problem you had. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, it's made me feel a lot better about the whole situation. I'll update here once I get it sorted out in case anyone else runs into the same issue!

Hey there! I've got some experience with BMWs, been working on them as a hobby for a few years. Had a really similar issue with my 2019 BMW X3 last summer. Those warning lights are super annoying, right? Turned out it was a faulty wiring connection to the steering wheel control module. My workshop found that one of the cables in the steering column was loose and had some corrosion. Total fix was about 95 Euro, mostly labor costs for taking apart the steering wheel assembly and replacing the damaged connection. Before I share more specific details though, could you tell me if you've noticed any other symptoms? Like, does it happen more when you turn the wheel, or did it start suddenly? Also, what's your mileage at? These details would help me figure out if it's the same issue I had. If it is similar to what I dealt with, it's actually not as scary as all those warning lights make it seem. Usually these systems are interconnected, so one bad connection can trigger multiple warnings.
