Thanks so much for sharing your experience! That's super helpful and sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. The brake fluid contamination makes a lot of sense given the symptoms. Did you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for everything? Also, has everything been running smoothly since the repair, or have you noticed any other issues pop up? I'll definitely ask the mechanic about those specific points you mentioned. Really appreciate the detailed advice!

Hey again! Happy to give you an update on my BMW repair saga. After getting it fixed exactly as I described before, everything's been running like a charm. My mechanic nailed it, turned out I was spot on about the brake system needing proper bleeding. The brake booster pressure sensor that was acting up is now working perfectly. Total bill came to 90 € for the whole job, which honestly felt pretty reasonable considering how crucial brake system repairs are. The best part? Haven't had a single warning light or weird noise since then. The braking feels solid now, and that annoying hydraulic pump noise is completely gone. It's such a relief not having to worry about it anymore. The car's been performing beautifully for months now. Just make sure whoever works on your car takes their time with the bleeding process, that's really the key here. Let me know how it goes when you get yours sorted!

Thanks a ton for all this info! I feel much better about getting it fixed now, especially knowing it worked out so well for you. That price is way more reasonable than I was expecting, I was bracing myself for something much higher! I actually just got back from a certified mechanic who specializes in European cars. You were right about everything, they found contaminated brake fluid and air in the lines. The whole job took about 5 hours, but wow, what a difference! The brakes feel solid again, and that annoying pump noise is completely gone. Even better, no more warning lights on the dashboard. Seriously, thanks for pushing me to get this checked out properly. It's such a relief to have this sorted. The car's running perfectly now, and I actually feel safe driving it again. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, it helped me avoid a lot of potential headaches!

Had the same issues with my 2015 BMW 7 Series Hybrid last year. The symptoms were identical, weak brakes, warning lights, and that distinctive pump noise. Turns out the brake system wasn't bled correctly during routine maintenance, which led to air in the lines and sensor confusion. When I finally got it checked, the mechanic found that the brake fluid was contaminated and the system needed a complete flush and proper bleeding. The brake booster also needed recalibration. It was pretty serious since faulty brakes are never something to ignore. The whole job took about half a day. Make sure your mechanic does a full diagnostic scan first. Ask them specifically about: Brake fluid condition and level, Signs of air in the brake lines, Brake booster vacuum integrity, Sensor calibration status The job should include a thorough system flush, proper bleeding procedure, and sensor recalibration. This isn't a quick fix, they need to take their time to do it right.
