Battery residual current error after door lock change
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my BMW 5 Series. After replacing the rear left door lock, the error 'battery rest current too high' is displayed after the car has been stationary for approx. 1 hour with ignition on. Interestingly, this error does not occur if I leave the affected door open, even for a longer period of time. Could the problem be related to a defective Hall sensor? How can I rectify this error? Many thanks in advance for your help!

Check if the wiring and connections to the door lock are properly installed and not causing a short circuit. A pinched wire or incorrect connection could lead to excessive current draw. Let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance.
