Hey, thanks for jumping in! Good to know I'm not alone in this. Seems like the root of my issue might be similar to yours. Can you recall how much you shelled out to sort it out? Also, has anything else cropped up since you got it fixed? Appreciate your insight.

Hey! Happy to help. I was worried it would cost an arm and a leg to get it fixed too. But in reality, it didn’t even cost me a penny! Yeah, you read that right, 0€ to be precise. This was because the brake light switch being defective was just a personal error, not any mechanical mayhem. And since the mechanic sorted it out, things have been going smoothly. I've had no new issues at all. So, my advice is, don't hold back, just head to a reliable mechanic to get it checked. Cheers!

You have no idea how relieved I am to hear that! It's one of the best things I've heard today. Really appreciate the information and your time. Will surely take it to a mechanic I can trust. Thanks again, and cheers for giving me some peace of mind!

Hey there, it does sound like you're dealing with some frustrating issues. Had a similar problem last year with my 2004 Fiat Punto. The ABS warning light was always a nag, and I too had a missing brake light. Turned out, the issues were indeed connected to a brake light switch but had a deeper root cause. The ABS system was copping an error due to a worn-out sensor, and one of the brake light bulbs simply needed replacement. Not as serious as it initially looked but definitely needed immediate attention given the safety issues involved. Hope that helps!
