Hello, thank you for your advice. That reassures me a little. Could you perhaps briefly mention how much you paid for the repair? I would also be interested to know if any problems have arisen since the repair. Thank you very much in advance!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help. So, the repair to the ABS control unit did cost me a bit, namely €1000. It's not exactly a bargain, but since then the ABS has been running like clockwork again. And to your question about other problems: Once the mechanic had repaired the wheel speed sensor (ABS sensor) failure, I had no further problems. So in my case, the repair paid off. Everything is running smoothly again. So don't worry, everything will be fine!

Gee, thanks! That's kind of good news and bad news. It's a bit expensive, but I'm glad to hear there were no other problems. So for better or worse I will have to go to the mechanic. I hope there won't be any more problems with my car after the repair either. Your words were very helpful and comforting. I am very grateful for that! See you next time.

Hi mate, I had a similar problem with my 2012 Toyota Auris. The ABS warning light came on and the car just wouldn't brake properly. I did go to a mechanic and it turned out that it was actually the ABS control unit that was faulty, so they had to replace it. The whole thing was no small matter, replacing the control unit is definitely a serious matter that shouldn't be ignored. The good news is, everything worked great again after the repair! So, don't worry too much, it's fixable and your car will be back in top shape afterwards.
