Hey! Thanks a million for the response, your descriptions just hit the bullseye! I'm absolutely sold on the fuel pressure regulator issue you mentioned. Doesn't look like a job I can take on myself, so a trip to the mechanic's it is! Just curious, do you happen to remember the damage to your pocket after fixing the bad boy? Also, were there any surprises that cropped up since your car's been sorted? Looking forward to hearing from you cause it sounds like we're riding the same boat!

Hey there! Glad to hear my bit of advice was helpful for you! Now, about the damage to my pocket, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, it did sting a bit. The repair of the fuel pressure regulator ran me a cool 250€. But let me tell ya, it was worth every penny because my baby's purring like a kitten now, runnin' smooth with no problems. No more black smoke or disappearing power, she's back in tip-top shape. And to answer your second question, after the mechanic's visit, that issue with the fuel mixture preparation? Sorted out, clear as crystal. My old girl hasn't had a recurrence of that problem since! So, yeah, no awful, uninvited surprises since fixing her up. It's been smooth sailing, or should I say, smooth driving! Remember, bud, your ride's worth the investment. The quicker you tackle this, the sooner you'll be rid of the bother. So rev up, hit that mechanic and get your Nissan Note back on track! Here to cheer you on and help where I can, just keep us posted. Safe driving!

Brilliant! You've been a gem. Looks like your experience with your Micra has saved me a ton of guesswork. Yeah, it will dent the wallet, but if it sorts out my Note’s tantrums, it'll be worth it, just like you pointed out. I'm booking myself at the mechanic's as we speak. I'll update you on the progress and any findings worth sharing. You've given me a solid helping hand here. Until then, keep revving and enjoying that smooth drive in your Micra. Can't wait to join the smooth driving club with my Note back in form! Catch up soon! Safe driving! Cheers!

Hey there! It does sound like you're having some issues with the fuel pressure regulator in your Nissan. Coincidently, I had a similar issue with my 2011 Nissan Micra not too long ago. Just like your Note, my Micra was blowing out black smoke, struggling on a cold start, and power was now and then going on a walkabout. It wouldn't be a shocker if there were similar problems under the hood of your car as well. So here's what the mechanic did. He checked the fuel pressure in the system, examined the regulator for any signs of wear and then conducted tests on the internal diaphragm and other components for any defects. Turns out, the fuel pressure was indeed deficient, and the regulator was the culprit. Thankfully, in my car, it was not a far-out fault. They simply needed to replace the faulty fuel pressure regulator. It's a bit of a process, and I must warn you it's not a simple in-and-out job. The mechanic may even have to replace some other worn-out components to make sure everything meshes well together. Remember, the fuel pressure regulator plays a pivotal role in your engine's performance. If it's smokey or shuddery, getting it checked ASAP is a smart move. Hope this helps you a bit and you get your motor running smoothly again soon. Good luck with your Note, and let us know how it goes, yeah? Cheers!
