Hey, thanks for your reply. It's reassuring that it's not just me. The DPF really does seem to be a common culprit, really annoying... Do you remember how much it cost you at the garage? And have you had any problems since then or has everything run smoothly? I hope I can get it fixed. Thanks for the tip!

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for, to help each other, right? About the costs: Yes, it wasn't exactly cheap, I have to say. We had to pay quite a bit for the heavily overloaded DPF, €1325 to be precise. But since the repair, the problem has been fixed and the car is running like clockwork again. And regarding your assumption about the exhaust back pressure sensor... I had a problem with that too, but it was fixed in the workshop. No more hassle since then. So, don't be put off and go to your trusted mechanic. Good luck, colleague!

Phew, the price is quite a lot. But if the car runs again afterwards, then it's worth it. I just hope that my garage can do it as well as yours. I'll keep the exhaust back pressure sensor in mind too, thank you! I'll see how it goes and hope that it's money well spent. In any case, thank you for your help and advice. Take care, buddy!

Hey buddy, I had similar issues with my 2015 Renault Talisman a little while ago. It definitely sounds like the DPF (diesel particulate filter) is severely overloaded. I had that too and it's actually no small thing. In my case, the car also ran very rough and showed a loss of power, plus there was this black smoke when accelerating. This all comes from overloading the filter when the regeneration doesn't work properly because too many particles build up. So I would say you're absolutely right that it's a DPF problem and not necessarily the exhaust back pressure sensor. Last time I was at the garage, the DPF needed to be cleaned and partially replaced. They told me that sometimes it's possible to clean the filter, but sometimes it just needs to be replaced completely. And they also did a general exhaust service, which means they checked the whole exhaust system and repaired any damage. It took a while, but since then the car has been running perfectly again. So get a professional to look over it and don't be discouraged, you'll get it sorted. Come on, buddy!
