Hey, thanks for the quick reply! I've noticed that Ibiza and Leon have similar problems. Maybe it really is the turbo, I'll have to consider that. Do you happen to remember what you had to pay for the turbo change? Has anything else come up since the repair that you've noticed? Thanks again!

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! I remember that I had to spend about 1000 euros to repair the engine control unit. It was a lot of money, but since then my little Leon has been running like a new one. As for the cold-start injection valve, I actually had a fault there too. But since the visit to the mechanic, everything has been running perfectly again, so I have no more complaints. So don't worry too much, hopefully your Ibiza will be running smoothly again soon! Good luck!

Great, many thanks for the information! 1000 euros is a lot, but if my Ibiza runs smoothly again afterwards, it's worth it. I'll probably have the problem looked for in the turbo and hopefully the cold start injection valve will remain intact. You've really helped me! I'm much more reassured now. I'll keep you updated here on what happens with the story. Thanks again and have a nice day!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2008 Seat Leon. When accelerating, there was also this black smoke coming out of the exhaust and the engine wasn't running so smoothly. After my indicator light came on, I drove straight to the nearest garage. The mechanic said my turbo could be the problem and not the cold start injector. He had to replace my turbo, which was a pretty big job as the turbo is embedded deep in the engine. It was a serious problem which should also be addressed quickly, no need to panic though as long as you tackle it in time. Wish you good luck with your Ibiza!
