Hi, Sounds like my problem when my sensor gave up the ghost. I didn't have the problem with the gel pad though. I'm assuming that it wasn't exactly cheap for you to fix the whole thing. Do you remember how much you had to pay for the repair? And have there been any more problems since then, or has everything remained calm? Merci!

Hey, yes, the issue with the gel pad was certainly no small matter. It cost me €62.50 to solve the bubble problem under the gel pad on the windshield. But since then the rain/light sensor has been working perfectly again, thank goodness. After the visit to the mechanic, there were no further problems. So it seems that the problem has been completely resolved. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works just as well for you! See you then!

Thank you, well then I hope that it won't be too expensive for me either. It's good to know that you haven't had any further problems afterwards, which at least gives me some hope. Thank you for your help and advice. I'll see what the mechanic says and hope that my windshield wipers are working properly again soon. Bye and thank you again!

Hello, I had the same problem with my 2013 Mercedes CLK. My problem was bubbles forming under the gel pad of the windshield. Seems to be a rather unusual problem, but somehow related to the rain/light sensor. The sensor wasn't working properly and was constantly switching on the windshield wipers, even when it wasn't raining at all. It was quite a hassle to fix, first had to remove the old gel pad and then fit a new one. Clearly, it was a serious problem because the windshield wipers were no longer working reliably. Hopefully this will help you. Good luck at the workshop! Best regards!
