Hey! Great to hear from someone else who's dealt with the same issues! I reckon, just like yours, my Dacia Sandero's wonky behaviour is down to a tired battery too. From what you've shared, it doesn't seem too massive a fix. Good to know it's a relatively no-drama situation. Curious though, do you remember roughly how much it set you back when you got your battery replaced? And have you had any other related problems crop up since the replacement? Cheers and thanks again!
Hey! Certainly, I remember all about that battery debacle. Rang up to 290€ to get that sorted out. Not the cheapest fix, I'll tell ya, but not totally outrageous either. Since the mechanic was done tinkering with the battery, I thankfully haven't had any more issues. It's been smooth sailing... or perhaps, smooth driving (see what I did there?). Turned out that the additional battery was indeed the root cause of all the funky lights and start-up fuss. So, in the grand scheme of things, a necessary expense to keep the old girl ship-shape. It's all part of car ownership those surprises can pop up from time to time, but at least we got our rides running smooth again. Safe travels!
Hey! Appreciate the details! Looks like I've to shell out a similar amount for that battery fix on my Dacia Sandero. Your insight was very valuable, and it's reassured me that fixing this problem isn't going to turn into a nightmare. And your pun certainly livened up this car trouble chat! It certainly is an adventure, owning a car. There are always bumps in the road, but as you said, it's worth it to keep our faithful rides running smooth. Thanks for all the info and the laughs. Safe travels to you as well, looking forward to more of these insightful chats! Cheers!
Hey there, I totally get you! I've got a 2010 Dacia Duster myself and had similar issues a while back. The battery was indeed the problem at that point. It couldn't hold a proper charge and was causing all the odd symptoms, similar to yours. Something to remember, a weak battery sends all sorts of strange signals to the car's computer. That's probably why your lights are acting quirky too. Sounds like a straightforward battery replacement job to me. Don't fret too much—it's fairly common and comes with the territory of having a car with some years on it. Last time, I just popped down to my local garage, they tested the battery, confirmed it was toast, and had a new one in within the hour. In my experience, a straightforward no-drama sort of issue. No serious impact on the car’s overall health, just one of those things that needed a fix. Hope this calms the nerves. Safe driving!
