Weak AC Airflow in Infiniti M: Fix Needed
Blower does not work properly

Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad to hear it was just the servo motor that's exactly what I was worried about with mine. It's a relief to know it was a straightforward fix. By the way, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the repair? And has everything been running smoothly since then, or have you noticed any other AC quirks pop up?
Hey again! Happy to give you an update. I actually just got mine fixed recently the total came to 170€ for fixing the cable on the servomotor. And I've got great news the rear ventilation is working perfectly now! The airflow is back to normal everywhere, including those back seats that were giving me trouble before. Since you asked, everything's been running super smooth since the repair. No more AC issues at all, and honestly, the car feels like new again. I was pretty relieved it wasn't anything more serious. The 2015 Q50 has been treating me well otherwise, and now with this fixed, I'm back to enjoying those comfortable drives. Quick tip though if you're getting yours fixed, definitely make sure they check the whole ventilation system while they're at it. Always good to catch any potential issues early on. But yeah, sounds like you've got the same problem I had, and it should be a pretty straightforward fix for your mechanic too. Hope this helps give you a better idea of what to expect! Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks so much for all the details! I actually just got back from the mechanic today, and you were spot on about everything. My issue was pretty similar, though my repair ended up being a bit pricier at 220€ since they had to replace the whole servo motor unit. The funny part was when I got there, my usual guy was out sick, so I worked with this new mechanic, Dave. He knew exactly what the problem was just by listening to my description turns out he's worked on tons of Infinitis before. Really glad I found him because he showed me exactly what was wrong and even gave me some tips about maintaining the AC system. The best part? The air's flowing perfectly now, even in the back seats! It's like having a new car again. Can't believe I put up with that weak airflow for so long. Definitely worth every penny, especially with summer coming up. Thanks again for sharing your experience it really helped me know what to expect. Time to enjoy some properly cooled drives!
Had the same problem with my 2015 Infiniti Q50 last summer. The symptoms were identical weak airflow all around, particularly noticeable in the rear vents. Turned out to be the servo motor controlling the air distribution flaps. Took it to my trusted mechanic and they diagnosed it with their computer system. The servomotor had failed, causing the flaps to stay in a mostly closed position. Getting it replaced solved the issue completely AC's been working perfectly since then. Not a major mechanical problem, but definitely something you want to fix before summer hits. The repair itself isn't too complex for a qualified mechanic who knows Infinitis. Just make sure they use OEM parts for the replacement. Hope this helps.
