Hey, thanks for your reply. I'm really a little worried that it could be something more serious than worn brakes. If you don't mind me asking, could you remember how much it cost you to recalibrate and reinstall the ECUs? And another thing, did you have any other problems with your Citroen after that? I just want to know if I'm in for more trouble. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I can well understand your grief. When I had the problem with the sporadically faulty communication between the control units, I paid €955. It wasn't cheap, but afterwards everything ran like clockwork again. And because of the brakes, which were actually worn out, I had them replaced directly by the mechanic. I haven't had any further problems with my Citroen since. My tip: Have it checked before it gets more serious. Good luck with your car!

Thanks for your advice and info, really appreciated. Sounds like an expensive repair, but I'll definitely get it checked out. I won't ignore the warning light any longer! It's reassuring to hear that no further difficulties have arisen after fixing this problem. Well, hopefully I'll be as lucky as you. I'll keep you up to date. Until then, happy driving everyone!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2003 Citroen C2. A warning light came on and I had sporadic faulty communication between the ECUs. It turned out that my ECUs needed to be recalibrated and reprogrammed. This was a pretty serious problem and it took a while to fix. My advice to you would be to get the car into a garage as soon as possible. It could be something serious. Have a safe journey!
