Hi, thanks for the tip, your story sounds pretty stressful too! The faulty communication is new to me, maybe that could be the case with me too, you never know. Do you happen to remember what you had to pay to get it fixed? And have you had any other problems since then? I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself for a possible cost explosion... Thanks and regards!

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here in the forum for! The last time I was in the workshop, the cost of fixing the sporadically faulty communication between the control units was around €955. Yes, that's a decent amount, but since then I've hardly had any problems. The good thing is that they also fixed the worn brakes at the same time. So, in my opinion, the investment was definitely worth it. You can never predict when the technology will give up the ghost, can you? So don't worry too much about it! See you then!

Hey, thanks for the info and the price point. I hope my costs don't jump that high, but at least I'm prepared for anything now. It helps to know that you've hardly had any problems since. I'm going to make an appointment with the mechanic soon now and hope it goes as smoothly for me. Wish me luck and thanks again! See you later!

Hi mate, I had similar problems with my 2010 Opel Astra last year. In my case it wasn't the brakes, but sporadic faulty communication between the ECUs. Sure, it's not a simple fault and it was definitely stressful. But cheer up, technology goes crazy from time to time. In the end, my mechanic had to update the software and hardware of the control units. I can't explain exactly how this was done, but the problem hasn't recurred since. So if your brakes aren't the problem, that could also be a consideration. Hope is never a bad thing, is it? Good luck!
