Hi, thanks for the detailed answer! That sounds plausible about the battery, I wouldn't have expected that. Do you remember how much you ended up paying for the repair? And did you have any other problems afterwards or was it really just the battery that was the culprit? It would be nice if you could share that with me. Until then, thanks again for the help!

Hi, you're welcome! So, I paid €90 for the repair, which involved disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. After that, the issue with the 'system readiness check not completed' was resolved and there were no further problems. So it really seems to have been just the battery that was causing trouble. Feel free to get in touch if you have any more questions!

That's a great help, thank you! €90 seems acceptable. It's really reassuring to hear that there were no further problems after that. I think I should find a garage and get this checked out. Thanks again for your input, that was really helpful. Hopefully it's just the battery on my car too. See you then, and take good care of yourself!

Hi, I understand your problem well because I recently had something similar with my 2010 Renault Fluence. My car also had a warning light on the dashboard and 'system readiness check not completed' as a possible cause. When I visited the garage the problem was with the battery. 'Battery recently disconnected or replaced' was on the report. It was a bit complicated because the car needed several test drives afterwards to complete the system readiness check as well. Fortunately, it wasn't too serious a fault, but it still took some time to sort everything out and repair it. Especially with older models like ours, this can happen from time to time. Hope my experience helps you!
