Hi, I can tell you exactly how much the repair cost. I actually had to pay €1000 to fix the problem with the DSC/ABS control unit. But since then I've had no more problems, nothing else has cropped up. I'm particularly pleased that the problems with the worn brakes were fixed after the visit to the mechanic. All in all, it was worth it, even if it cost a bit. Since then, my BMW has been running like clockwork again!

Hi, thanks for the details, I really appreciate your help. It's always better to learn from the experience of others! 1000 € is a hefty price, but if it gets everything running again, then it's probably worth it. I'll take your advice and check if it's the brake pads and the turbocharger. Thanks to you, I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Hi!
But is it possible that the turbocharger is limited by brake pad error?
I ask because I have the same brake error on mine, but I notice power limitation.
Hello, I think the topic creator got something mixed up here. Which error were you able to read out exactly?

The brakes were completely replaced on 24.06.2024. Why can't the service status be reset?
What kind of vehicle do you have exactly?

Hey, I recently had a similar problem with my 2015 BMW X5 Diesel. The warning light also came on and my fuel consumption was high. After a visit to the garage, it turned out that the brake pads needed to be replaced and the turbochargers were not working properly. Both can lead to higher fuel consumption. See if it could be the same for you. They weren't necessarily minor issues, but everything is now running perfectly again!
