VW Touran HVAC Blower Motor Dies: Zero Airflow Fix

Recently noticed my blower motor stopped working completely. No air coming through any vents, even after trying different settings. Could this be related to an auto recirculation or AUC sensor fault? Running a 2023 VW Touran gasoline with 106487km. Anyone dealt with similar symptoms? Starting to worry about repair costs after some previous mechanic issues. Best to have it checked soon, as driving without proper ventilation can lead to windshield fogging and reduced visibility.

The repair for my Tiguan turned out simpler than expected. When I took it to the mechanic, they found the AUC sensor fault was causing erratic behavior in the auto recirculation system. The fix only cost 95€ since it was just a faulty cable connection to the air quality sensor that needed attention. Since getting that sorted, the HVAC system has worked flawlessly. No more issues with the blower or auto climate functions. The cabin air monitoring now responds correctly to outside conditions, and the ventilation maintains consistent airflow. My earlier concerns about needing a complete blower replacement were fortunately unfounded. Looking back, catching these sensor issues early probably prevented more extensive damage to the climate control system. The auto recirculation now engages smoothly without any of the temperamental behavior you mentioned experiencing.

After experiencing those concerning ventilation issues, I finally took my Touran to the repair shop last week. The mechanic found the blower motor control module had failed, just as some forum members suggested. They also discovered a loose connection affecting the climate control sensors. The total repair came to 280€, which included fixing both the control module and resolving the sensor issues. Much better than the 800€ I feared it might cost for a complete blower replacement. The auto recirculation system now works perfectly, and the HVAC sensor readings are consistent again. Best decision was not waiting longer, the mechanic mentioned the faulty control module could have eventually damaged other climate control components. No more issues with airflow or temperature regulation since the fix. The cabin stays comfortable and the windshield clear, even during temperature changes.
