Just got my car back from the workshop. At 68859km, it turned out to be serious oil sludge buildup causing the pressure issues. The service team found contaminated oil had clogged several passages. They performed: Complete oil system flush, Fresh oil change with premium grade oil, New oil filter installation, Pressure sensor check Bill came to 280€ total. The mechanic recommended using oil additives designed for sludge prevention going forward, especially given how quickly this developed in a 2023 model. The engine runs much smoother now and the warning light is gone. Planning to do more frequent oil changes to prevent this from happening again.

Thanks for the update on your T-Roc repair. The oil sludge buildup in your case matches what I experienced with my T-Roc too. The repair cost was similar, I paid 295€ for almost identical service work. Your mechanic gave good advice about the oil additives. After my sludge issue, I started using them and noticed the engine oil stays cleaner between changes. Just make sure to use additives specifically approved for our engine type. The quick sludge formation in these newer models often relates to short-distance driving patterns where the engine oil doesnt reach optimal temperature. For better engine protection, I now: Change oil every 10000km instead of waiting for the service interval, Use only high-grade synthetic oil, Monitor oil color regularly through the dipstick, Let the engine warm up properly before high-load driving Since implementing these practices, my oil pressure has remained stable and engine performance is consistently good. Definitely worth the extra attention to prevent another expensive repair.

Thanks for the advice. After dealing with this oil pressure warning and getting it fixed, I wanted to share what worked in my case. The engine oil sludge caused serious problems but the workshop sorted it completely. The 280€ repair included a thorough system flush, fresh oil change, and new oil filter. Engine now runs perfectly with no warning lights. Learning from this experience, I am following a stricter maintenance schedule: More frequent oil changes instead of just following standard intervals, Using the recommended additives to prevent sludge, Checking oil color monthly, Letting the engine warm up properly before heavy acceleration The oil pressure is now stable and the engine performs great. While the repair wasnt cheap, catching it early prevented what could have been much costlier engine damage. For other T-Roc owners, dont ignore those warning lights and stay on top of oil maintenance.

I had a similar issue with my 2021 VW Golf with the 1.5 TSI engine. As someone with some mechanical experience, I understood that oil pressure warnings need immediate attention to prevent serious engine damage. The symptoms you describe match what I experienced, the oil pressure warning appeared unexpectedly. I took it to my workshop right away, and the diagnosis revealed the maintenance interval for an oil change had been exceeded. The oil had degraded significantly, which triggered the warning system. The fix included: Complete engine oil change, New oil filter installation, System inspection for potential oil leaks, Computer diagnostic check Total cost was 165€, which included parts and labor. Getting it fixed promptly prevented any long-term engine damage. Before offering more specific advice, could you share: Current mileage on your T-Roc, When was your last oil change, Are you noticing any oil leaks under the car, Any unusual engine sounds or performance issues, Which engine variant does your T-Roc have These details would help determine if your situation is similar and whether you might need additional checks beyond the basic oil service.
