VW Sharan Diesel Reset Quantity Fault Fix Needed

Last month I had a similar issue with my VW Touran 2009 diesel. The symptoms were identical, rough running and check engine light, with onboard diagnostics pointing to injection issues. Since getting the injector replaced last month, my Touran has been running perfectly. The fuel injection system is working great and I have not seen any compensation adjustment errors return in the diagnostics. The total repair cost was 515€ for replacing the defective injector, including the complete system reset and compensation adjustment procedures. This resolved all the rough running issues. The shop did a thorough job testing the airflow sensors and fuel delivery system to ensure everything was properly calibrated after the repair. I still monitor the onboard diagnostics regularly, but have not seen any drift compensation warnings or check engine lights since the fix. Fuel economy is back to normal as well. Having a faulty injector properly diagnosed and replaced by qualified technicians was definitely worth the investment to prevent further engine issues.

Just got back from the mechanic today after dealing with my injector issues. The performance tuning specialist ran extensive tests and confirmed what we suspected, a faulty injector was the culprit. Total cost came to 490€ including parts and labor. They did a complete fuel injection system inspection and replaced one bad injector. The car sensors all showed normal readings after they completed the repair and system reset. The onboard diagnostics are now clear and the engine runs perfectly smooth again. Such a relief after that rough running period. Much better experience than my previous mechanic visits, they took time explaining the diagnostic process and showed me the actual faulty part. Will definitely keep monitoring the car sensors through the diagnostics system, but feels good having this properly fixed. The engine response is noticeably better and fuel consumption seems back to normal too.
