Confirming my diagnosis from last week at 53037km, our issues definitely match. A failed turbo actuator exhibits exactly these boost control symptoms. The repair resolved all issues, power is back to normal, no more whistling, and fuel economy improved to factory specs. Total repair cost was 750€ which included: New turbocharger actuator, Pressure sensor replacement, System calibration, Labor costs The turbocharger itself was fine, just the control components needed replacement. The boost pressure now holds steady under all driving conditions. Be sure to get the engine management system checked for stored fault codes.
