VW Nivus Blower Motor Failure Linked to AUC Sensor

Having an issue with my 2021 VW Nivus (21486km, gasoline). The blower motor stopped working completely. Suspecting an AUC sensor fault since the auto recirculation system has been acting up lately. Anyone experienced something similar with their blower motor? Looking for advice before heading to a mechanic since my last repair experience wasnt great. Any suggestions for troubleshooting or typical repair costs would be helpful.

Had a similar issue on my 2018 VW T-Roc. The blower motor failure was connected to the air quality sensor system. After troubleshooting, it turned out the HVAC sensor wiring harness had deteriorated, causing intermittent connection issues with both the blower and the climate control unit. The odor sensor and auto recirculation problems are typically early warning signs before complete blower failure. A proper diagnosis revealed corroded pins in the main connector, which affected the entire climate control system. A thorough repair required: Replacing the wiring harness, Installing new connector pins, Testing the air quality sensor functionality, Recalibrating the HVAC system This was not a quick fix but rather a complex repair requiring specialized diagnostic equipment. The blower motor itself was actually fine, the root cause was the compromised electrical connection. After the repair, both the blower and auto recirculation worked perfectly. Would recommend having it checked soon, as continuing to operate with faulty sensors can lead to more extensive damage to the climate control system.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the T-Roc repair. The wiring harness issue sounds exactly like what I might be dealing with. I also noticed similar symptoms with the air quality sensor acting up before the blower died. Would you mind sharing how much the total repair cost? Also curious if youve had any climate control issues since the fix. My Nivus has started showing the same signs and Id rather catch it early before it gets worse.

Just got back from the mechanic last week actually. The issue was much simpler than my initial T-Roc problems. Turned out to be just a faulty cable connection to the AUC sensor that was causing the blower and auto recirculation issues. Total repair was 95€, which was a relief compared to what I originally faced with the full wiring harness replacement. The HVAC sensor system has been working flawlessly since the fix, no more air quality sensor faults or auto recirculation problems. Climate control is back to normal and the blower responds perfectly. This kind of repair is definitely worth doing early before it leads to more complex issues. With your Nivus showing similar symptoms, getting it checked soon could save you from a more expensive repair down the line. The sensor fault diagnosis these days is pretty straightforward with modern diagnostic equipment.

Thanks for the input. Just wanted to update on what happened with my Nivus. Finally took it to the shop yesterday and got it sorted. The mechanic found a loose connection in the cabin air sensor wiring, similar to what others mentioned. The auto recirculation system was acting up because of this loose connection. The repair was straightforward, they fixed the connection and did a quick system reset. Total cost came to 120€ including diagnostic fees. Way better than I expected after reading about complete wiring harness replacements. The blower motor is working perfectly now and the air quality sensor is back to normal. Glad I didnt wait longer as the technician mentioned this could have led to more serious electrical issues. The whole repair took about 2 hours. Really relieved it wasnt anything major like a full AUC sensor replacement or extensive wiring work.
