Thanks for sharing your experience with the airbag system issue. That loose connection problem sounds similar to what I might be dealing with. I just booked an appointment to have my SRS light checked tomorrow. Just curious, how much did the diagnostic and repair work end up costing you? Also wondering if your restraint system has been working properly since the fix or if any other warning lights have popped up?

After getting the SRS light issue fixed at the shop, the restraint system has been working perfectly with no warning lights reappearing. The mechanic found a faulty cable connection at the airbag sensor under the driver seat, similar to the issue I initially suspected. Total cost was 95€ for the repair, which included cleaning and properly securing the connector. The crash sensor diagnostic showed it was just the loose connection affecting the airbag deployment system, no actual component replacement was needed. Having a proper diagnostic scan done first saved money since it pinpointed the exact issue rather than replacing parts unnecessarily. For anyone facing similar airbag recall or warning light issues, getting a professional diagnosis is worth it. Even minor connection problems with the airbag sensor can trigger the SRS light, but they are often simple fixes when caught early. Just make sure to use a shop that specializes in automotive safety systems.

Update on my SRS light situation, took it to the shop yesterday and got it sorted. The mechanic found a corroded airbag sensor connector under the passenger seat causing the warning light. Total bill came to 180€ including diagnostic and repair work. Was a bit more expensive than expected but the shop did a thorough job. They cleaned all the airbag sensor connections and double-checked the entire restraint system to ensure everything was working properly. The mechanic showed me the corroded parts and explained how water exposure likely caused the issue. Vehicle safety is definitely worth the investment, driving with a faulty airbag system would have been risky. The SRS light is now off and car safety systems are all functioning normally. Glad I got it checked out rather than ignoring the warning light.

The SRS light can indicate various airbag system issues. Had a similar situation with my 2013 VW Transporter TDI where the airbag sensor triggered warnings. Initial diagnostic scan revealed loose cable connections near the driver seat airbag module. Common causes for SRS light activation: Loose or corroded airbag sensor connections, Damaged clock spring in steering wheel, Faulty seat belt pretensioners, Water damage to airbag control module This requires professional diagnosis as airbag systems are critical automotive safety components. The repair process typically involves: 1. Full system diagnostic scan 2. Testing individual airbag sensor connections 3. Checking wiring harness integrity 4. Verifying airbag module functionality My issue was resolved by cleaning connector pins and securing loose wiring, but other cases might need component replacement. Never attempt DIY repairs on airbag systems, incorrect handling can cause accidental airbag deployment or system failure. Suggest getting it checked soon as compromised airbag functionality creates serious safety risks. Look for shops specifically certified in airbag repair and SRS diagnostics.
