Urgent Help Needed: BMW M6 Engine Shuts Off Randomly
Engine shuts off by itself
Hello fellow BMW enthusiasts, I'm in need of your expertise. I have a BMW M6 V10 6 Speed and recently replaced the Bank 2 throttle actuator. The code for this issue has disappeared, but a new problem has arisen. My car is randomly shutting off and I'm seeing an Engine code 00279B DME: Alternator Communication Fault. I've double-checked the DME connector and it seems to be properly seated. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Check the alternator connections and wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion. Ensure the alternator belt is properly tensioned and not slipping. If everything looks good, consider testing the alternator output with a multimeter to ensure it's charging the battery correctly. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
