Hey, thanks for the tip! I actually had something similar in mind. Good to hear that replacing the alternator solved the problem for you. Do you happen to remember what you were asked to pay for it? I'd be interested to know if I need to prepare myself for a larger investment. And have you had any other problems with your Skoda since then? Thank you very much in advance!

Hey, no problem! In my case, everything came right after the visit to the mechanic. So, the fault with the generator was rectified and everything ran like clockwork again. The cost was actually quite reasonable - it cost me €215 to fix the faulty cable connection. You might pay a bit more or less depending on the exact circumstances. Fortunately I have had no further problems with my Superb since then. Hope this helps you, and fingers crossed that it will work smoothly for you too!

Hey, thank you! That definitely puts my mind at ease. Your information is really useful. At least I now have a rough guide as to the costs. I'll make an appointment with the garage tomorrow and hope that everything will go smoothly for me too. I'll let you know when I have any news. Until then, thanks again for your help and fingers crossed!

Hey, I can well understand your dilemma. I have a 2015 Skoda Superb and had pretty similar symptoms recently: Engine malfunction, heavy battery, flickering lights... no fun. I also thought it was the alternator. I finally went to the garage. Turns out it was a serious fault with the alternator. A simple swap solved the problem. So I would suggest that you have your alternator looked at as soon as possible. This could also be the case for you. Good luck!
