Unexpected Fault Codes Related to Nonexistent Kafas Module in BMW x5
Emergency system without function
Hello BMW enthusiasts, I'm facing a peculiar issue with my BMW x5. I've been getting fault codes 00E067 and 00A933, both of which are related to the Kafas module. Additionally, there's a warning message on the iDrive about a faulty lane departure warning system. The confusing part is that my car doesn't have a lane departure warning system, nor does it have a Kafas module. These codes just appeared out of the blue. Does anyone have any idea how to clear these codes or why they might be appearing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It's possible that there might be a software glitch or a miscommunication in the vehicle's electronic systems. Start by performing a full system reset by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes, then reconnecting it. This can sometimes clear erroneous fault codes. If the issue persists, it might be worth checking for any recent software updates or having a professional scan the vehicle with a BMW-specific diagnostic tool. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
