Hey, that's really helpful! Sounds like our issues were almost identical. Tracking down that faulty plug connection could be the key. I'm feeling more confident about sorting this out now, thanks a ton! Out of curiosity, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the fix? And has anything else cropped up since then related to the lighting system? I really hope it's a one-time thing, these surprise repairs can be really annoying. Cheers!
Hey! About the costs, if I remember right, it set me back about 222.50 €. Not the cheapest, but it's much better than having unpredictable lights, I tell you that! Ever since the trip to the mechanics, the light switch has been working pretty smooth, no complaints at all! So, seems like that faulty plug connection was indeed the villain - once it was sorted, everything went back to its usual, boring reliability. Fingers crossed it's a one-time thing for you too! Nothing worse than a car that tries to surprise you, especially on the cost side. Good luck with the fixing, and let's hope the fault doesn't come visiting again! Keep us updated, yeah? Cheers!
No kidding, having unpredictable lights is like driving a Christmas tree on wheels! The amount sounds fair for the peace of mind it brings. Really glad to hear your lighting system hasn't given you any more grief. Fingers crossed I'll have a similar experience - plain, boring reliability sounds like a dream right now. I'll defo keep you posted about how it goes. Looks like I'll be paying a visit to my local mechanic after all. Wishing for a one-time fix! Cheers for the advice, really appreciate it!
Hey there! Sounds quite similar to what I experienced with my 2020 Renault Captur a while back. I had about 100,000 km on the clock when my indicators started acting up out of nowhere. After a bit of tinkering, it turned out to be a problem with a faulty plug connection, as you suspected with your Arkana. It's no trivial thing; it messes with your light function, but the good thing is, it's not too complicated to fix. My last visit to the garage, they basically had to track down the faulty connection and then replace it - which in my case, was connected to the indicator stalk. No hidden costs, no unnecessary replacements. Just straight to the point and they had the job done faster than I anticipated. Now, I can't tell if it's exactly your case, every car is a separate story to tell, but this seems like a solid starting point for your investigation. Good luck!
