Uneven vehicle height and strong springs on the 2012 Ford B MAX: experience and advice wanted

Uneven Ride Height

Excessive Bouncing

Hey guys, I need your opinion. I drive a Ford B MAX built in 2012, gasoline engine, with around 103413 km mileage. Recently it has been showing an uneven ride height and bounces a lot. I have a suspicion that it could be due to the ride height sensor. Has anyone had similar problems before and how did it go with your mechanic? My last experience wasn't that great, so I'd like to be a bit better prepared. Thanks for your help!

Hello, I understand your situation. Had a similar problem with my 2010 Ford Fiesta. It turned out that there was a problem with the control unit. It had to be replaced. Your symptom sounds very similar. The replacement was necessary because the car was really no longer safe to drive. So, it was a serious matter. Hope this helps you. Good luck with the mechanic!

Hi, thanks for the tips, I probably wouldn't have thought of that on my own. Of course I hope it's not that serious, but being better prepared certainly helps. Do you remember what you left with the mechanic at the time and whether any other problems have arisen since then? Thank you and stay healthy.

Hello, yes of course, I certainly remember. First of all, since I've been to the mechanic, the problem with the functionality of the height sensor has been solved. The car has been driving like the first day since then. And as for the cost, that was quite a lot. I had to fork out €1000 to repair the defective control unit, not exactly a penny. Since then, however, no further problems have arisen, for which I'm really grateful. I hope it goes just as smoothly for you. Keep your fingers crossed and stay healthy too.

Hello, oh, of course that's a lot of money. But safety comes first, I realize that. I hope that the investment will be worthwhile for me too. Thank you for the encouraging words and the honest information. I'm now going into the situation a little better informed. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again and take good care of yourself. See you then!
