Hey! Can't tell you what a relief I felt reading your note. I've been breaking a sweat over this! Your repair with the sensor wire and recalibration doesn't sound too much like a punch on the wallet. Do you mind sharing roughly how much you had to cough up for the fix? And more importantly, has your Captur behaved well since the fix or have you noticed anything even slightly out of place? Thanks again for the help! Best regards!
Hey again! Glad to help any way I can. So, the total damage on my pocket was 155€ for swapping out the faulty cable and doing a recalibration of the sensor. Not exactly chump change, but a lot better than I originally feared. As for the Captur - well, it's been behaving like a dream! Ever since that visit to the mechanic, the restriction of the height control function was sorted. The ride’s been as smooth as can be and haven't noticed anything off at all. Fingers crossed it stays that way, right? Keep me posted on how it goes with your Arkana! All the best!
Hi again! Excellent, thanks for that! €155 seems worth shelling out to save my poor Arkana the bouncing misery. Glad to hear it did your Captur good too. There's hope yet! Well then, I'll nip down to my local garage first thing tomorrow, and fingers crossed it's just as straightforward for my mechanic as it was for yours. I appreciate your advice, really helped calm my nerves. Will definitely keep you posted on what happens next. Take care! Best wishes!
Hey there, Totally understand your woes, I had an almost similar issue with my 2016 Renault Captur. I had some trouble with uneven acceleration and power drop, thought it was something serious. This turned out to be a faulty cable connection on the sensor. The mechanic spotted it after some initial confusion and fixed it by replacing the affected wiring and recalibrating the sensor. He did say these issues can lead to erratic car behavior, but thankfully, it’s not a major engine thing. Hope you get your Arkana sorted soon! Cheers!
