Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Your experience sounds pretty similar to what I'm currently experiencing. Do you happen to remember how much it cost you to replace the diesel particulate filter? And were there any other problems after the repair or has the car been running perfectly since then? I would like to know what I need to be prepared for. Many thanks in advance!

Hey, sure, I can tell you that. It cost me €1550.0 to repair the diesel particulate filter. Quite a lot of money, but afterwards my Clio ran like clockwork again. In particular, the differential pressure in the diesel particulate filter returned to normal after the visit to the mechanic. So no more problems since then and the car runs perfectly! So be prepared for a time-consuming and costly repair, but things should get better afterwards.

Oh man, that sounds like a real hole in the wallet, but if it helps, it's worth it. Good quality costs money. Maybe I can expect the same result with my Twingo. Thank you very much for the information and experience. Now I have a better idea of what I should be prepared for. I'll go to the garage tomorrow and report back on how it went. Many thanks again!

Hey, it was a similar problem with my 2011 Renault Clio. It definitely sounds like a defective diesel particulate filter. The diesel particulate filter on my Clio was completely replaced because it was worn in and the DPF regeneration was no longer working properly. After the replacement, the car ran perfectly again. It was quite an effort, but the bottom line is that it was unavoidable. Hope this helps you!
