Hey, cheers for the quick response. My Tarraco's been through a bit of a journey, she's sitting at 115379 km already. Last full service was done about two months ago, and they didn't pick up on anything unusual then. My battery seems fine, headlights are bright as always, and no sluggish starts either. The warning light on the speedo is a triangle with an exclamation mark, if that rings a bell. Hoping this can help us whittle it down. Cheers!
Hey, no sweat - we all need a hand every now and then. Ok, so she's mileage rich but still a good ride, eh? About your warning light, that triangle with the exclamation mark usually kinda yells "general warning". It can be something trivial or something bigger lurking. If all your basic functions are working normally - no odd sounds or visible leaks, bright lights, healthy battery, it might be one of those nasty electrical gremlins. I'm just spit-balling here but if your 'Transport mode' suspicion is on spot, that could explain it. In my Ateca, transport mode locked some things down to prevent damage during delivery, but if it's stuck in that mode, it might toss up that warning symbol. A pro mechanic should be able to deal with it fairly easily, though. How about taking it back to the services where you got it checked last time? They might have missed something or if it's a new thing, they can probably deal with the warning easily. If not, maybe try another trusted mechanic. Fingers crossed for a simple fix! Hope there's a bit of help in this for you. Cheers!
Hey, yup, she's a veteran cruiser alright and still gives a smooth ride despite all the miles. This 'general warning' light is a right pain, I'll tell you that! But no odd sights or sounds and juice is flowing just fine, so it looks more and more like some electronic malarkey indeed. This 'Transport mode' might be our bullseye, I mean it does match up with the symptoms. I think going back to the garage for a check makes sense, just in case they've missed something, plus it won't cost an arm and a leg. If that doesn't work, I've got a friend who knows a thing or two about cars, so might pop in for a second opinion from him. Cheers for the chat! I apreciate all the advice. Will keep you posted once I've rustled up a solution for this pain in the bonnet situation. Later!
Hey, I run around in a 2018 Seat Ateca, pretty similar to your Tarraco. I'm no mechanic, but I've got some experience tinkering here and there. I ran into a similar snag a while back, persistent warnings and all. It turned out I'd jump-started the car, which messed with the electronics. I took it to my local workshop, had them run a full system reset - sort of a car's version of "turn it off and on again". Silly as it sounds, it did the trick and cost me just 45 Euro. A solid "value for money" deal, if you ask me. Of course, every case is different, so if you could share more about your car's symptoms, maybe we can help you narrow down the issue even better. How's the battery? Any specifics about the warning lights? Looking forward to helping you out with this. Cheers!
