Troubleshooting Rogue Cruise Control in 2023 Renault Arkana Hybrid

Cruise control without function

Fault stored

Hey folks, I'm a bit stumped with my 2023 Renault Arkana, Hybrid engine, clocked 22060 km. The cruise control has gone rogue and I've got a stored fault appearing on the dash. Has anyone dealt with something similar? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially on how your mechanic handled it. Last mechanic visit didn't go so well for me, so wanting to get a bit of intel before heading in again. Appreciate your insights!

Hey, Looks like we're on the same boat. I've got a 2020 Renault Kadjar and I faced a similar issue few months back. My cruise control was acting up and I had an error popping on my dash. Turned out to be a defective cable connection to a sensor. My mechanic figured it out promptly, by running a diagnostic scan which brought up a similar stored fault. He had to look under the hood, do a bit of digging, and finally found the faulty cable. After the diagnostics, he replaced the cable and reconnected it to the sensor properly, that was basically it. The problem wasn't too serious; it was more a matter of nuisance than a major mechanical issue. But it's always important to have it sorted, you don't want a faulty sensor or cable messing up your driving! After the fix, my Kadjar's been running smoothly. I'm not a pro, but from my experience, it sounds like your Arkana might have something similar going on. Worth getting your mechanic to do a thorough check on the sensors and cables associated with your cruise control system. Hope this helps!

Hey there! Thanks for the info. It's reassuring to know that it was a straightforward fix on your Kadjar. I'll make sure to nudge my mechanic in the direction of the sensors and cables. Out of curiosity, do you recall roughly how much the whole fix cost you? Just to get a ballpark figure in mind. And has everything been smooth sailing since the fix, or did you encounter any other issues related to this? Cheers!

Hey, Glad I could help. Regarding your queries, the repair, which involved fixing the cable connection to the sensor, set me back by around 155€. Not too hard on the wallet considering it sorted the issue. And yes, since the mechanic did his magic, the cruise control has been working like a dream - no dramas whatsoever. So, I'd say it's definitely worth getting checked out. Fingers crossed, it's the same minor hitch for your Arkana! Drive safe!

I've got my fingers crossed too that it's just a minor issue similar to yours. Appreciate your prompt responses and sharing about your experience - really eased my concerns. Wish me luck, I'm hoping for a smooth ride post the fix! Stay safe on the roads!
