Hey, thanks for the quick feedback! Yeah, my V40 does have a turbo-charged engine. Sounds like you hit the nail on the head with the hose issue. I wonder if my mileage, which sits at 117255 KM, could have a role to play in this. Also, I had the last servicing done almost a year back. I think it's about time I get my car checked at the local workshop. Thanks again, really appreciate it! Cheers!

Hi again! Yeah, a turbo charged engine can put a fair bit of pressure on the hoses over time so it's an area worth investigating for sure. With your mileage and the symptoms you're describing, I'd say your guess isn't too far off. Regarding the service, a year is quite long depending on how much you're driving around. Regular checks are crucial for keeping the old girl in tip-top shape (speaking from my endearing experience with my Volvo). Ah well, it's all part and parcel of owning a car, isn't it? Sometimes it's the little things that make a world of difference. Do keep us posted with what happens at your local workshop, we're all learning together here. Best of luck with it all!

Hey! Totally agree, car issues are a part and parcel of owning one. The regular checks sure make a lot of sense. Very true about the little things making a world of a difference. I'm definitely going to spend some time at the local workshop and sort out my V40. Will keep you guys posted, learning together is what this is all about. Fingers crossed, hope it all works out smoothly. Really appreciate your valuable input. Cheers!

Hey there! Not a car expert over here, just someone with a smidge of experience. Funnily enough, I had a similar pesky problem on my 2011 Volvo S40, Gasoline engine. Lo and behold it was indeed a problem with the hoses. Got the lads at my local workshop to add some new hoses which cost me about 175 Euro. All smooth sailing from there. Is your V40 a Turbo model? Perhaps, providing more details about your car might help me give you some more specific advice. Cheers!
