Hey! Thanks for jumping in with your experience. Sounds remarkably similar to what I'm dealing with currently. To provide more context, apart from the systems simply not working, my ride has a tendency to freeze and restart randomly, which is driving me nuts. I didn't have a code reader on hand, but I'll definitely try and get one, good shout! My E-Tron GT barely clocked in 22,584 km, and its last service was just a couple months back. Bit unexpected for it to start messing up so soon. Your point about the interconnected systems intriguing - I'll have to check the state of my cables for sure. Cheers for the help I appreciate it. Hope yours is running well post the fix!
Hey! Glad to be of help! Ah, the classic car freezing and restarting – had that too! Made it feel more like a cranky pc than a driving machine, didn’t it? From your description, it absolutely sounds like you might have a similar issue as I did. It's surprising to see such issues on a 2020 E-Tron GT considering it's relatively new. But sometimes, no matter how new or maintained the car is, some things just go sideways. Definitely try to get your hands on a code reader. It'll give you a better understanding of what's going wrong behind the scenes. Also, take a look at the wiring to see if it's visibly flawed, and then find a good mechanic or workshop you trust. Despite having my issue fixed, I still feel like I need to be gentle with the systems just to be on the safe side. On a lighter note, I am now probably a bit more familiar with my car's electronics than I ever imagined I could be! Hang in there! Let's hope it's something relatively easy to solve like a cable issue. I'm keen to hear how it goes. Keep us posted! Cheers!
Hey again, Yeah, it absolutely feels like dealing with a fussy old computer, takes me back to my old windows PC saga! I'll be sure to invest in a code reader - sounds like a handy tool to sniff out these apparent ghosts in my machine. It's super peculiar, right? Last thing I expected was my pretty new E-Tron pulling these stunts. I've been recommended a good workshop nearby. I am hoping exactly like you said, that it might just be a cable issue and will be easily resolved. Your experience with your Audi has been very helpful. Honestly, It feels good to know I'm not alone in this. Will definitely keep you guys in loop how it goes! And hey, thanks for being a good sport. Fingers crossed! Cheers!
Hey! I've had a somewhat similar issue on my 2018 Audi RS5. Just to give you an idea of my experience level, I have some experience with cars, but I'm certainly not on the level of a professional mechanic. When I tackled this problem with my Audi, I initially tried to troubleshoot it myself but quickly realized that this was above my paygrade. So, I took it to my local workshop. They identified the problem as a faulty cable connection. I wasn't too familiar with the ins and outs of my Audi's electronics, so it was interesting to learn about how the car's systems are all interconnected. Long story short, the faulty cable was causing my audio and navigation systems to freak out. The workshop fixed it for me and it cost about 155€. Can you tell me more about your car's symptoms? Using a code reader can give you some idea of what's going wrong if you have one. It sounds like your issue might be similar, but I'd need more information to be sure. Cheers!
