Hey there, Thanks for the quick reply! So my Entourage is pretty much as standard as they come, haven't done any major modifications to her. She's a 3.8L V6, and for her age, she still runs pretty smooth. As for the mileage, she's just reached 103858 KM on the odometer. Last service was a while ago though, I probably should get that done soon. Hearing about your experience with the Santa Fe does give me a starting point. I'll look into the comfort access components and see if there's an issue there. Appreciate the help! Cheers!
Hey again, It's great to see you taking this hands-on approach! With your Hyundai being a 3.8L V6 and considering the mileage you've mentioned, it could well be a similar issue to what I faced with my Santa Fe. With the amount of wear and tear a car goes through (especially with door handles and locks), something could easily be worn out or broken. Just a quick tip though - before you shell out any money for replacements or visit a mechanic, maybe just try changing out the batteries in your key fob if you haven't done so recently. It's a simple fix, but you'd be surprised how often it's overlooked and it could very well be the source of your problem. Of course, if things persist after that, then I'd suggest following the path I took. Check for any visible damages on the comfort access components or anything unusual. If it's beyond a DIY fix, a visit to a professional wouldn't hurt. Good luck with it all and be sure to keep us posted on any updates. Always ready to help a fellow Hyundai owner out! Cheers!
Hey there again, Wonderful! That's some really solid advice. Definitely going to try out changing the key fob batteries first. You're right, it's something so simple but often overlooked. Only after that would I start digging into the comfort access components. If nothing work out then a trip to the mechanic seems to be unavoidable now. And no worries, I'll keep you updated on the situation. Your advice has been really helpful and much appreciated! It's great to have the support of experienced drivers when you're in a bit of a car trouble spot. Thanks again. Cheers!
Hey! I've had some experience with a similar issue on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. I'd say my car savvy is at a 'low experience' level. That said, when my car started showing similar signs, I took it down to my local garage. Turns out the problem was defective components, in my case it was the door handle for comfort access. Cost me a good chunk of cash, roughly 390€, but it was fixed in no time. It could be a similar issue for you but it's hard to tell without knowing more details about your car. Maybe you could give some more info? Engine size, any modifications, that kind of thing? That should help get you some more detailed advice. Cheers!
