Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, the issue I'm seeing is somewhat inconsistent. There are days when it works fine but other times, especially when it's colder in the morning, it just refuses to cooperate. As for the lights, they usually become dim and flicker during nighttime, not so much in the daylight. About the mileage, my Arkana Hybrid '21 has crossed 159181 km on the road. My last service was about 3 months back. I'll definitely look into the problem with the cable connection, it sounds promising. Thanks a ton!
Hey, No worries, glad my input helped! Honestly, it sounds like we're dealing with a similar beast here based on your further details. The issue being present especially under colder conditions could hint towards a faulty connection. Regarding the lights, it's interesting that it happens more during the night. There could be a correlation there, especially given the common use of the car's electrical system during nighttime (headlights, cabin lights, heating etc.). One thing to consider, given your mileage, you might want to take your Arkana for a little check-up. Since it’s a hybrid, you've got an additional layer of complexity with the electric battery system. It's possible the issue could be linked to that. The last service being about 3 months back, the problem at hand might have developed in the meanwhile. Keep me posted on any updates! Find the issue is half the battle, the real win is getting it sorted. Crossing my fingers that it won't end up being too significant of a fix for you. All the best with your Arkana!
Cheers for the in-depth advice, really appreciating all the help you're giving me! I hadn't considered the hybrid elements potentially causing issues, but it makes sense considering the complex nature of the system. Your point about the electrical systems working harder at night also rings true. Will make it a point to mention these observations when I take my car in. I'll definitely keep you posted once I get my Arkana checked out. Hopefully, it'll be a minor problem that can be fixed without much hassle. Wished I could repay you somehow, but all I can offer for now is my thanks. Take care, and fingers crossed for a not-too-costly solution!
Hey there, Funny enough, I had a similar issue with my 2018 Renault Megane, not exactly the same model but close. Just to level with you, I got some experience with cars, not a pro, but not a newbie either. I took my old Megane to the local shop when it started acting all funky. It wouldn't lock properly, and the light business was similar to yours. We found a defect in the cable connection to the outside door handle electronics to the control unit. We had it sorted for about 110 Euro, which seemed okay considering the nuisance it was giving me. Can you share more about when you see this issue? Does it happen all the time, or is it inconsistent? That sort of information could be really useful in figuring out what's causing your problem with the Arkana. Give as many details as you can!
