Troubleshooting Hyundai Mistra 2015: Non-Functional Multifunction Steering Wheel Buttons - Seeking Advice and Experiences

Buttons on multifunction steering wheel without function

Hey there, I've been facing an odd issue with my 2015 Hyundai Mistra, gasoline variant. The buttons on the multifunction steering wheel have stopped functioning all of a sudden. I'm suspecting there could be some errors in the steering wheel system itself. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'm eager to hear about any fixes you guys have come across, particularly your experience dealing with workshops for such issues. Any suggestions on narrowing down the problem or troubleshooting tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey! It's funny you mention that, cause I had a similar issue with my 2013 Hyundai Sonata. I reckon we're on the same ballpark in this steering wheel chaos. I'm no car expert, just a guy with some experience trying to keep my baby running. Anyway, I took my ride to my friendly neighborhood mechanic who figured it out for me. Turns out, the cables inside my steering wheel were defective. Had to shell out around 95 Euro to get it fixed. Not too bad considering I got my steering controls back. How about your car's mileage? Also, did any significant event happen before the problem popped out? Knowing more details could help in nailing down the issue. Let me know!

Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience. Interesting to know it might be a cable issue. My car's mileage is at 67856 KM, the last service was just a few thousand kilometres ago. Nothing significant happened before the issue popped up, it was all of a sudden. Guess I have to plan a visit to my local mechanic and see what's going on there. We never really appreciate these little things until they stop working, huh? Well, I'll keep you updated on my steering wheel saga! Thanks again for your help!

Hey there again! No problem at all, happy to share my experience. Wow, your car's mileage is almost identical to mine when I had this issue, funny coincidence that is. Your best bet indeed would be to head to your nearest mechanic for a proper diagnosis. Old cables can wear out without us noticing, for real. Plus, these little gadgets and buttons in our cars...I swear, they have a mind of their own. We do indeed take them for granted until they decide to strike! And yes, please do keep me updated. I'd like to know what the culprit is! It helps to have these experiences shared with the community, you never know who else might be in the same boat! Good luck and I hope it gets sorted soon!

Hey! It's great to share and learn, isn't it? Absolutely, it does seem like a funny coincidence our cars hit a snag around the same mileage. I’ll surely make a stop at the mechanic's workshop over the weekend. Fingers crossed it’s nothing major. I can indeed feel your frustration with our dear gadgets, they can be quite unpredictable. I'll definitely keep you updated once I find out what the problem is. It’s true, you never know who else could face the same issue! Thanks again for your advice and kind words. Let’s hope she’s back in shape soon. Take care and talk soon!

Let our mechanics help you!
