Troubleshooting for electric windows in the Opel Insignia 2011

Fault stored

Power windows malfunction

Hello folks! I have a small problem with my 2011 Opel Insignia gasoline engine, mileage approx. 187589 km. The electric windows are spinning and an error is stored. The last time I tried to relearn the power windows was not successful. Have any of you had similar experiences? How did you sort it out with your mechanic? Would appreciate any tips, especially as I had some problems with my last garage. Thanks in advance!

Hello buddy! I had a similar problem with my 2010 Opel Zafira. The power windows were really acting up and there was a fault like yours. I then took my car to the garage and it turned out to be related to the vehicle battery. Strange, isn't it? It had to be replaced ('replacement of the vehicle battery') because it no longer had enough power. After the replacement, the window regulators worked perfectly again. It wasn't an earth-shattering problem overall, but it was important enough that it had to be fixed in the workshop. Hope this helps you!

Hi, that sounds really annoying with your Zafira. But interesting that the battery was the problem! Could you perhaps remember how much it cost you to change the battery? And were there any other problems with the power windows afterwards or was everything okay again? It would be really cool if you could remember. Thank you!

Hey, yes, it was really a bit annoying. But I took my Zafira to the garage and the guys had a look at it. After replacing the vehicle battery, which cost me €290, all the problems were gone. Regarding your question about the power windows: after the visit to the mechanic, they worked again like on the first day. No more spinning since then. Imagine if the re-learning of the window regulators was successful this time. It's strange how a battery can throw everything out of kilter. So, at least in my case, replacing the battery fixed the fault. Hope that helps you!

Hey, thanks for your quick response! 290 € for the battery change sounds reasonable. You've really helped me out, I'll discuss it with my new garage. Maybe the problem is actually with the battery. It's funny how the electronics in our cars work, isn't it? But it's good to know that everything went smoothly for you again afterwards. Wish you no further problems with your car. Thanks again for your help!
