Hi, appreciate the detailed response! There aren't any peculiar smells or noises as such. It drives just fine but the persistent warning lights freak me out a bit. I guess the fix could boil down to something similar to your situation. Here's what I'm gonna do; I'll have my local mechanic take a look-see at the cable harness on the oil pressure control valve like you mentioned - cross fingers it's just that. My 2014 Note has done some 48184 KM until now, but had regular services last in 2021, so fingers crossed nothing major's happened. Either way, I'll keep you posted on what they say. Cheers and safe drivings to you too!

Hey, understood completely. I remember being in your shoes and those warning lights can definitely get under your skin. Good to hear that there're no strange sounds or smells; that at least rules out a few possibilities. Checking the cable harness on the oil pressure control valve sounds like a good starting point. As my case, these issues might prevail due to some defective parts that just need replacement. And given your Nissan’s relatively low mileage and recent service, chances are that this is nothing major (touch wood!). Remember, it’s always preferable to get these issues checked out sooner rather than later, especially with the oil light on and metal shavings in the oil - Those might indicate some severe wear and tear. And yes, definitely keep us posted about how it goes. Like we say, shared knowledge is doubled knowledge! Wish you a valuable visit to the mechanic and some good news. Safe journey!

Thanks a bunch for the advice and the heads up! It really does put me at ease hearing you've been in the same boat but everything turned out fine. I've already made an appointment for first thing tomorrow morning at my local garage. So, we'll see what they say about the cable harness on the oil pressure control valve. I totally agree, it's best to get things sorted now and save any major headache down the line. Will let you know how it pans out. Onwards and upwards! Cheers, and happy motoring to you too!

Hey there, I had a quite similar issue with my 2016 Nissan Juke not long ago. I'd say my expertise level is somewhat in the middle; I've fixed a few car issues myself but it generally depends on the complexity of the problem. My oil light came on too, and there was this odd warning on my speedometer. Turned out my Cable harness on the oil pressure control valve was oily and defective. So, it was letting oil leak onto the valves, and therefore causing the light to come on. I ended up going to my local workshop where they replaced the cable harness for €350. It was a bit pricey, but it resolved the problem. Not sure if it's the same issue, but it sounds pretty similar. It would be helpful if you could share more details about any peculiar noises or smells and how the car behaves when you're driving. It’ll help me (and others here) to help you out a bit more. Safe driving!
